Overall grid Let's continue with the Grid paper and open the first of the three tools, the Major Grid menu. It opens with controls to set the size of the grid, leaving the app to figure out how many rows and columns it can fit on a page. In this example the switch for Columns & Rows is 'on' so that each can be quickly set to match a project plan. Tap in the number box to use the keyboard instead of the -/+ stepper to enter numbers. |

General tools Examples of general tools are the Palettes and Page Settings menus. Palettes sets grid line colors. It has defined palettes and a '+' to create unlimited custom palettes. The last menu, Page Settings, sets page size and margin for export or printing. It also has a control to Tile Grids. Open a paper in Paint with a tap to the Paint Brush icon at the top of a paper's editing page. During the process of opening the grid in Paint the grid is converted into an image. Because the grid is now an image, no changes are possible to the grid itself once it is brought into Paint. If a change is needed to the grid, leave Paint, make the needed edits, then open the corrected grid in Paint and begin again. Use pinch-and-zoom to get in close for easier painting. |
The Paint tool box is filled with colors — both solids and textures. However, you can make an unlimited number of custom color pallets using the Build Custom Palette tool:
