Paper Settings control the units (inches or metric) and grid placement on a graph paper that is shared and printed. There are a few default settings for all new papers, these defaults can be overridden (and more options configured!) on individual papers.
DEFAULT PAPER SETTINGS FOR NEW PAPERS (Override as needed on individual papers)
First, open the More menu '•••' on the opening screen. Chose option 'Default Paper Settings' to open that menu. Here you can set the page and unit defaults for all new papers. (These global settings can also be updated from the More menu '•••' on the list page of each paper type.)
It is straightforward to override units on an individual paper. Open the More menu '•••' on a paper's edit screen, choose 'Paper Settings' and make adjustments.
PRINT SETTINGS FOR ALL PAPERS
At the bottom of the toolbar is the Page Settings menu.
Here you can set the paper size, orientation of portrait or landscape, margins and tiling of multiple grids on a single page — which affect exactly where the grid is placed on the page.
Sometimes the margin is wider than expected. This happens because the grid is adjusted by the app to ensure only full rows & columns are part of the graph paper.
To set paper size --
Scroll wheel to choose a standard paper size. Use Custom option to set an unusual size.
One hidden benefit of adjustable margins is that it gives another way to control the grid. Adjustments to the margins will also adjust the number of rows & columns included on the graph paper.
