HOW DO I?

Adjust Paper & Page Settings

There are two levels of control for Paper and Page Settings:
  1. Default Paper Settings that define how all new papers will be configured
  2. Individual Paper and Page Settings that will override the defaults

1

Set defaults used for new papers

Find the Default Paper Settings under the '•••' More button in the upper right of the GridMaker icon page.

Tap Default Paper Settings to review and edit the settings that configure new papers:
  • Page Defaults - set page size for printing or PDFs
  • Graph PaperUnits - set units for the grid
  • PDF Line Width - set line weight used
These settings are used when a new paper is created and can be revised on an individual paper.

PDF Line Width. The controls to adjust the defaults set for PDF Line Width are with the PDF controls.

Tap to open the '•••' More button on a paper's edit page and tap Share PDF. Then, on the PDF page tap the '•••' More button for the menu with an option to adjust the PDF Line Width default.

Configure the page settings used to print and place grid on a page

When a paper is opened with the Page Settings menu, a blue dotted line appears around the edges of the grid. This blue dotted line shows the paper margins so you can see how well the grid fits on the page. The diagram instantly reflects the effect of any adjustments.

There are three controls on the Page Settings menu opened from the toolbar:
  • Paper size. Scroll to set paper size for printing. Scroll to set choice of orientation (Portrait or Landscape). The paper sizes shown reflect whether 'Page Defaults' was set to Letter or set to A4.
  • Margins. Each margin is set individually. Tap 'Set to Margin Defaults' to quickly reset all the settings. The units shown reflect whether 'Page Dimension Units' was set to inch or metric.
  • Tiling. Use tile settings to switch from a single grid on a page to multiple, smaller grids on a page.
