Make HST (Half Square Triangles)
There are several methods of creating half square triangles (HST) and we all have our favorites — each one has its place depending on the project.

By adjusting QuiltSandwich Yardage Calculator settings to an oversized HST, you can use a square up ruler. And if you want to create HST using squares AND cut them oversized? Just follow these same instructions!

And the Two at a Time method. This approach requires cutting two correctly sized squares with right sides together and sewing on either side of a diagonal line drawn from corner to corner.
