HOW DO I?

Create a Pixel Quilt pattern

Picture

Watch on YouTube

This Tutorial assumes you own both QuiltSandwich and ColorHints Mosaic on an iPhone or iPad.
Next, to make a pixel quilt you'll need an image on your iPhone or iPad. Check to image to confirm it just includes what you'd like in your quilt. If it needs to be cropped or edited, start with the tools in Apple's Camera or Photos app. They may be exactly you need to get your image just right.

This tutorial uses a royalty-free image of color pencils grabbed found on ClipArtBest.com.

Import into QuiltSandwich

The QuiltSandwich pop-up uses defaults for the number of tiles, colors, and tile size.

The tile size is the finished size of a fabric piece. Adjusting the tile size also updates the overall size.

Patchwork block is the number of tiles (pieces) grouped together into blocks for the block layout pattern.

As an option, the project can be given a name at this point.

Gather and prepare fabric!

The QuiltSandwich Tutorial can help you learn more about how use QuiltSandwich. Because there are so many fabric colors in a pixel quilt, the fabric selection tools like Color Mix and COMPARE Fabric Side-by-Side may be especially helpful.
