Enter block size, setting (straight or on-point), sashing width, and width of each border(s). The diagram shows the quilt top setting as a 'best fit' within the dotted line at the target size. 'Best fit' is the maximum number of blocks that will fit inside the target size. |

By adjusting the sashing and/or borders you can bring the quilt top size closer to the target size while keeping the blocks at 8". Of course, changing the block size might also be an option! |
